An episode of "COPS" in front of our house

The honking was coming from the drug dealer homeowner's Nissan Frontier truck. We saw Scott, the home owner get out of the passenger side of the truck (his truck) and go up to the front door of the house. He swayed and nearly fell over in the bushes in front of his own house, and then staggered inside to open the garage door for the other guy waiting in the truck. The honking continued for at least five minutes until finally I had had enough and stormed out there in my freaking pajamas and banged on the driver's side window of the truck. I said (yelled) "people live in this neighborhood shut the fuck up! What the hell are you doing?" at which point the driver said "Being drunk" in a messed up voice. I yelled something about the fact that it had to stop and headed back towards the house. He got all belligerent and started yelling at the top of his lungs all kinds of nonsense. Then he revved the engine of the truck and spun the wheels as he was pulling into the garage so much that he almost went through the back wall of the garage. I was hoping he would. After I got back in the house, our next door neighbor came to the door; she had seen everything and wanted to know if we needed help. Then our other next door neighbor called- she had been awakened by the horn honking and wanted to know if she could help. I called 911 and the Sheriff's department was on their way. At that point the driver of the truck came out of the house and on to the front lawn and was screaming and yelling and throwing beer bottles at the house. The home owner, Scott, even staggered out long enough to pitch a beer can at our house and almost fell down in the process, he was so wasted. The other person that was with them jumped into a passing car and got out of the area quickly. The home owner went back inside, but his dumbass friend continued to challenge us and our neighbors, trying to get us to fight him. He was standing out in the middle of the street yelling, with a beer in his hand, when two Sheriffs pulled up right to him. He pitched the beer into the yard, but the cops saw him and asked him what it was. He said "a water bottle" and then one of them went over and picked up the half full beer can. He tried to tell them that I "assaulted" him, which is funny because his truck window was up the whole time I interacted with him, so I don't know how I could have "assaulted" him. They didn't believe his sorry ass anyway, and it was only a matter of a few minutes before they had cuffed the idiot and put him in the car. He kept whining the whole time about his shoulder that he supposedly had surgery on. The cops took statements from four of us but they couldn't do anything about the homeowner who had probably passed out inside and wouldn't answer the door, and all they could do to the idiot was to take him to jail for drunk and disorderly conduct. We could tell from his dialogue with the cops that he was definitely a repeat offender.
In the height of all this madness, I decided to call the home owner's parents who have been footing the bill for all this insanity. I had their phone number from their check as they are the ones who paid Scott's Homeowners Association dues last month and it was on the check. They pay the mortgage, all the bills, buy him groceries, etc. and we even saw his mother give him a wad of cash recently. His dad is a local bank president, so he has money. I decided that if we had to be up all night dealing with this crap, that they should too. His dad didn't even seem that surprised and said "Do whatever you want to him (Scott) we are sick to death of it too." I told him that he was enabling Scott and that it was never going to end if he kept paying the bills. He said that they had told Scott yesterday that he was on his own and they were not helping him anymore. My neighbor says that Scott's mother was there today giving him money again, though, so apparently he doesn't know, or his dad is lying.
Unfortunately there is not much else the cops could do. While the idiot was in the cop car and we were writing our statements and talking to the cops, he was screaming randomly about his rights (it sounded like he was reading his rights to himself for a few minutes) and kept on yelling, for about forty minutes. He would never shut up. Finally they hauled him away and said that they would patrol our street often in light of the situation. So we have a little bit of peace right now, but I can't sleep anyway. In the morning the idiot will get out of jail and will probably head over here to burn our house down or something. Luckily we just upped the amount of our insurance. Plus when Scott wakes up from his stupor, I am sure he will want to retaliate as well (if he remembers anything). It is just what I need to deal with when I have a sick dog to worry about. I am not sure if I should stay at home from work to make sure the house is okay. I think I need a gun.

Update: At about 3:20 am I went to the window to view the house across the street. I peeked through the blinds and saw Scott peek out and slam the front door so hard it almost fell off. Then he came out again and yelled "what the fuck is the matter with you" and slammmed the door again so hard that it isw amazing it didn't fall down. At that point I woke Andy up because I was scared and after he came down, Scott came out and stood outside his house for a while, then went back inside. I made Andy go back to sleep while I keep watch. I promised to wake him up if it gets scary again.
Wow, keep us posted on what happens. This is high drama!
I have crazy asses across the street too. Sometimes I wonder if a little vigilante justice is in order. (Love your blog)

OMG, I can't believe that you actually went outside to bang on his truck. (I can't believe I keep starting my comments in your blog with OMG).
You are so brave to do that. I would have just stayed there peeping through the blinds and called the cops. Yikes girl, BE CAREFUL!!!!!
